Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" sequence was probably the set of books that got my reading interests to change from Joan Aiken to darker children's books, and eventually to adult horror.

Just done reading this book, written by Dr Arnold LeUnes. It's pretty interesting, and a good basic introduction to the field.

The sixth book in Derek Landy's Skulduggery Pleasant saga, "Death Bringer", has to be the most satisfying read since the first book.

If there was any doubt that there are character deviations between the books and the movies, it's laid to rest in "The Half Blood Prince".

Well, I have to say I am very satisfied! Darren Shan’s City Trilogy is an amazing three-book ride I highly recommend! I’ve decided that it’s about time I stop with Agatha Christie (re-reads, no less!) and start on a classics pilgrimage. I did this when I was a law undergrad, every summer select a list of classics to read, then get to it. This was way before you could blog about it though… Among the books… [Read more…]

This book is a far better read than "Eternal Prison", faster paced, crazy augmented folk, crazy avatars, crazy psionics.

Finally read Jeff Somers' "Eternal Prison" about a month ago. Why am I only updating it now? Because I had to re-read "Electric Church" & "Digital Plague" again to familiarise myself with the characters!
