Personal Training & Fitness
Hey, I’m now an ACE certified personal trainer (T158691). My foray into health and fitness began after a 6-month stint selling frozen yoghurt in my teens, after which I learnt the hard way what the phrase “a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips” (or tummy!) really meant!
With little idea how to lose weight and get fit, I spent the following six months climbing stairs, eating only lentils and fruits and doing dangerous sit-ups and badly executed push-ups in the privacy of my bedroom late at night.
Twenty years later, I, who have also written on health and fitness matters in Malaysia’s Rodale’s Men’s Health and the Sun newspaper, decided to get certified so that I can help others learn easier and safer ways of getting fit and healthy than the route he took.
This blog, however, is for my own purposes, to chart and share what my interests are. I’m happy to respond to fitness questions though.
I enjoy diverse fitness activities, ranging from intense boot camp to meditative yoga, as well as weight lifting and swimming. I plan to take up some form of martial arts in the near future.
I currently work at a boutique personal training studio, called Body By Design. We specialise in weight loss and strength training. I also am a physical instructor with Rebel Boot Camp.
