About Daniel

Daniel Chandranayagam is the Editorial Director of the CSR Digest, the flagship publication under DC Publications SB.

Daniel has had extensive experience in writing and researching, having been in the business for for close to ten years. He also has worked as an editor for various publishers within Malaysia for almost half that time.

He also writes on labour matters and corporate social responsibility in the Sun newspaper (Malaysia)a nd contributes to Global Voices and Global Voices Advocacy.

Daniel celebrated the publication of his first fiction book, ‘Fraser’s Hill Haunts‘ in 2007. His first piece of fiction, entitled ‘Breathing Safely‘, was published online, at Doorknobs & Bodypaint (Issue 44, Cairo Room).

Always interested in fitness, Daniel is now undergoing training to be personal fitness trainer, and is interested in dabbling more in fitness writing.

For various local & international publishing houses. Past experience includes full time employment as a legal editor with the Malayan Law Journal / Lexis Nexis. Recently, Daniel was sub-editor for KLue magazine, which ceased operations at the end of 2010.

Freelance Research Work

Legal research work and asset tracing for local private limited companies and legal firms. Academic research includes work on Andrew Harding & HP Lee’s “Constitutional Landmarks in Malaysia” (2007) LexisNexis and “1957-2007 Chronicle of Malaysia” (2007) Editions Didier Millet. Some litigation due diligence experience also acquired in 2007.

  • Non-practising Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
  • Bar Finals: BPP Law School/Gray’s Inn, London
  • Degree in Law, LL.B. (Hons)
