
Professor Dr Mustaffa Mohamed Zain is one of Malaysia’s academic pioneers in corporate social responsibility (CSR). Having had his interest piqued in his undergraduate studies in social and environmental accounting, Prof Mustaffa moved into research and study of corporate social responsibility in the 1990s.
Now the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Prof Mustaffa specializes in Financial Reporting, Corporate, Disclosure, Financial Management and Accounting Education (in addition to corporate social responsibility in general).
Professor Mustaffa sat down with the CSR Digest recently to discuss CSR, the Bakun Dam, CSR in an economic downturn, the Madoff scandal and CSR and SMEs, among other things.
