I have just begun a new project, called the CSR Digest. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is no longer optional for businesses worldwide. Deforestation, hardship on labour and lack of transparency in corporate reporting have caused many businesses to be viewed with suspicion, and sometimes even to crumble.his explains why CSR is fast becoming part of many businesses’ culture. The CSR Digest seeks to explore the development of corporate conscience worldwide, with a specific focus on Malaysia.
Aside from this, I spoke to a friend recently who works for Red Money, an Islamic finance publishing group, and he said that people are interested in CSR and Islamic finance because everyone is so tired of the unethical business and financial practices.
The CSR Digest is also currently a free distribution electronic digest, so feel free to send your content or press releases to us at editor [at] csrdigest dot com.
The CSR Digest sets to counter the deficit of writing and reporting on the area. The CSR Digest will demystify the topic, unweaving the technicalities away from the issues, making CSR accessible to all. In addition, value-added content will serve to update CSR professionals with the latest trends, views and opinions through quality features and interviews with leading industry practictioners.
