Remembering Sheena is a campaign to protect animals, especially the abused and the strays in Malaysia. It began years ago when Sheena, an alsation, was starved to death by her owner. Driven by outrage, a group of Malaysians went out to highlight how woefully in need of updating Malaysian animal rights laws are.

Now, Remembering Sheena does a lot more than seek the changes to the Animal (now) Act. It seeks to help in any way it can to further the cause of cruelty prevention and animal protection.
I received a text message recently that the Remembering Sheena Campaign will be having an event at Sid’s Pub, Taman Tun, on December 13th. The event is to raise funds to buy food for animals, especially dogs, in shelters. The pub has a friendly atmosphere, and activities on the day will be held from 3pm-7pm. Raffle tickets are at RM50, which comes with freebies.
Below are the maps on how to get to Sid’s Pub.
